You could easily spend the whole day at Voulimeneas- on the small beach below and at the taverna above. Its vine-covered terrace provides shade in the heat of the day.

Excellent home cooking, friendly service and very nice relaxed atmosphere. Great view of the bay as well.

Voulimeneas Taverna
I have to agree totally with earlier comments. We have just returned from the area and had several meals there with our resident friends, several ending with a gun-barrel view of a beautiful sunset!

And, returning yesterday, brother Vassilli took us to the airport in his taxi. Efharisto poli !!

Wonderful place- Voulimeneas
This taverna on one of the best unspoilt beaches in the area is run by the most friendly family in the region. They go way beyond serving drinks and delicious food. I have seen them carry wheelchair-bound children down to the beach without being asked, they have charged dead car batteries, provided a wealth of local information and are always, always happy and smiling. They do not over-charge and the food is fabulous, cooked in the kitchen from scratch every day.
